It’s recently come to our attention that the latest 2025 NVIDIA driver updates for their workstation class of graphics cards has introduced a bug which can cause graphical issues and/or inconsistencies during drawing in the viewport. Note: This is a bug in the driver and may cause similar issues in other graphical software.
While we continue to monitor and investigate a programmatic fix, we’ve created this article to share all current temporary solutions.
Solution 1: Disable Threaded optimization
This is the recommended fix as it works on the latest driver from NVidia and can be applied only to the MudShark executable.
Start by right-clicking on your desktop background, if the option for “NVidia control panel” is not there, you’ll first need to select “Show more options”

Once Inside the control panel, select “Manage 3D Settings” from the Task list on the left.
Then “Program Settings” to the left of “Global Settings”, then click “Add”.

Scroll down the list of Recently Used applications to find MudShark, select it then at the bottom of the window “Add Selected Program”.

Once added, scroll down the list of settings until you find “Threaded optimization”, select the dropdown list and pick “Off”.
At the bottom of the window click “Apply”, this should resolve the issue.

Solution 2: Roll back / Install old Driver
If for whatever reason disabling Threaded optimization is causing you issue, we suggest rolling back to the older driver. See link below for a download of this driver from NVidia’s website.
